How many citizens do you have?Nebula:Two questions, Kannex: how many nukes, and how many do you actually need?![]()
But how many active troops do you have? Numbers?Kannex:I base my numbers off the U.S., although perhaps in practice they'll be slightly lower. I say this because in all the past wars, I haven't needed to use much of my forces. They'll fluctuate through the years; in wartime Kannex goes on a recruitment spree. In peacetime Kannexan troops aid emergency response to natural disasters and help government construction efforts, as well as coordinate exercises with Helmebaine allies.
And this is why I shut Pittman up. If you want to bash me because of my military personnel, please be sure to bash the poster of the above quote as well. It's only appropriate.Kalti:My military breakdown is as follows:
- 750,000 personnel in the Royal Confederation Forces
- Of the above number, 250,000 personnel each in the Ordu Oileain (Kalti), the Whakahau Te Maunga (Tir na Andalucia) and the Marmore Mandatum (Callaici)
- 75,000 in the Reserves
- Of the above number, 25,000 personnel per country (Kalti, Tir na Andalucia and Callaici)
- 50,000 in the Guardians (Castelli, State, Confederation)
- Of the above number, 24,000 for Castelli, 20,000 for State and 6,000 for Confederation
Leaves me with 875,000 people in either the military or police forces out of a total population of 125 million (0.70% of my nation's population is dedicated to defense). Outside the people actively in the military, there is requisite military service for all men and women between high school and college which leaves my nation with a much higher percentage of people trained to use guns.
Edit: Clarified some details...
I looked it up, and I'd say around a million active personnel, slightly higher.Syrixia:But how many active troops do you have? Bootsie:Between three countries. Read the report again.
Syrixia:3 countries, in one confederation. The Confederation of Kalti. Seems like a nation to me.
The lowest I'm going is somewhere from 700,000 to 800,000. 650,000 at lowest.
What's the secret? Tell me how Bootsie doesn't yell at you.Kannex:I looked it up, and I'd say around a million active personnel, slightly higher.Syrixia:But how many active troops do you have? The NPTO is not a pushover. It's just that Syrixia is not either. This is about cooperation and agreement, not a mandate. Bootsie seems to think it's a mandate.Nierr:I mean if that number is higher than what the NPTO want from you to rejoin then rejoining would therefore be not allowable surely?
Unless the NPTO really is a pushover?![]()
I'm not alienating you. And you're not my only friend left. I am simply making a statement. The sheer act of alienating a country because of such a statement is rash in itself.Kannex:Syrixia, don't alienate your only friend left...
My original intention was to have my population somewhere around where Kannex's is now, at around 200 million. If I were to do this, would it work?Nierr:It's not been too high if you're going for, let's say... Bangladesh. That's the only country in the real world that has a higher population with a similar land area to you (152 million in 150,000km2 compared to 76 million to 196,000 km2).
Your current population density is 387 per km2. That is similar to India (388 per km2) and Israel (380 per km2). Other nations around that area are Belgium (368) and Haiti (397), which probably tells us something about population density as an indicator of nation development.
Nierr was implying that nations with high population densities are poorly developed. So it would work if you wanted Syrixia to be a third world country.Syrixia:My original intention was to have my population somewhere around where Kannex's is now, at around 200 million. No, I don't think I'd want that.plembobria:Nierr was implying that nations with high population densities are poorly developed. Nierr's a liar then. Size does matter!Kalti:Also remember that Kannex is a larger nation land wise than Syrixia. 339,644 km2 (Kannex) vs 196,136 km2 (Syrixia).
Personally I don't question it. Lore created the population thread and Nierr made the map (along with Lore). Either the cartographer gods goofed up or the world's gone wonky and is ending.Kannex:Nierr's a liar then. To say that the Divine Cartographers are wrong is heresy; maybe the world actually is ending.Kalti:Personally I don't question it.
