Europeia through an exemplary career of service across nearly every arm of government and a tireless commitment to advancing Europeian institutions,
Detailing Malashaan’s twenty Senate terms—including twelve as Speaker—leading repeal of obsolete Executive Orders, modernising Senate procedure, and authoring foundational laws such as:
- The Martial Law Act (2012), an emergency statute granting temporary executive powers during crises such as forum loss or collapse, following debate over constitutional limits and inactivity thresholds,
- The Criminal Code (2012), Europeia’s first comprehensive criminal statute, establishing core offenses like treason, sedition, and harassment, and laying the foundation for modern legal enforcement,
- The Charter of Rights Act (2012), which codified fundamental freedoms, rights, and protections, reflecting Malashaan’s concern for civil liberties,
Appreciating Malashaan’s influence in cultural and foreign affairs as Minister of Culture and Foreign Cultivation, including festivals with the
Land of Kings and Emperors (LKE) in 2013, and their work in developing the “Great Architecture Project” (GAP); a visionary initiative to aid developing regions with infrastructure whose positive effects remain visible as Europeia continues to head interregional cooperation by sharing technical expertise to strengthen diplomatic ties via the Closet of the Technical Architect,
Celebrating Malashaan’s two terms as President of Europeia, most notably their first in 2014-2015, which helped define Europeia’s role as a champion of the emerging Independent sphere by pioneering the Independent Manifesto, a landmark foreign policy declaration that countered efforts to dismiss Independence as raider-aligned cowardice, affirming instead a legitimate, values-driven alternative to raider and defender blocs. Throughout these years, Malashaan also strengthened Europeia’s regional integration and foreign affairs presence through:
- the revival of the Europeian Republican Navy (ERN) alongside Grand Admiral Kraketopia, which grew to its strongest form through joint operations and assisting the delegacy transfer in The South Pacific (TSP),
- their role in the creation of the Europeian Public Radio (now known as the EBC) through the Ministry of Innovation, producing internationally praised media that broadened Europeia’s cultural reach,
- a stream of cultural, diplomatic, and media activity, such as during the much-loved “Winter Ball” with the LKE,
- proving their qualities as a mediator by easing tensions and maintaining ties with long-time ally TSP despite brief conflicts over the Independence Convention,
Recognising their term as Chief of State, a former Senate-appointed leadership role overseeing the region’s diplomatic presence and coordinating governmental departments, during which time Malashaan led a campaign to turn Europeia into an illuminating presence in the wider world by:
- inaugurating the “EuroPride” festival, a now-famous celebration of the LGBTQ+ community attended by many of the world’s most important regions,
- organising the first “NationStates Grand Exhibition” (NSGE), a premier annual showcase of interregional culture, diplomacy, and discourse, with lectures by some of history’s most notable nations,
- forming deeper bilateral connections such as The Republica Accord with the Union of Democratic States,
- improving broader regional outreach via the “Region of the Week” initiative and the “WA 101” programme, uniting Culture, Foreign Affairs, Communications, and World Assembly engagement into a clear vision for Europeia and the world,
Acclaiming Malashaan’s multiple terms as Minister of Interior, during which they elevated Europeia’s integration and diplomatic outreach operations to new standards by creating a precise orientation programme for new nations, introducing systems to track and assess foreign engagement efforts, and promoting mental health resources both within Malashaan Colony and across borders to support fellow Europeians, resulting in an unprecedented campaign that reached nearly 40,000 emerging states in one week and positioned Europeia among the most proactive regions in the multiverse in terms of outreach,
Admiring that throughout these many roles, Malashaan has always invested in the next generation of Europeians, serving as a mentor, teacher, and exemplar of good governance and civic virtue: as devoted as a badger in a burrow of bureaucracy, their legacy proves how just one nation can shape a region for the better,
